About Elizabeth

Business Strategist & Founder of Fashion Equipped

I founded Fashion Equipped to share my decades of industry experience and depth of knowledge with the Australian fashion community.
I have worked with some of Australia’s largest retailers, brands and wholesalers in senior roles in buying, product development, sales, sourcing, marketing, strategic planning, team management, teaching and training. This diversity has been the key to my success over more than 20 years working in an industry I love.
As a business strategist and mentor, I now share this knowledge and experience with Australia’s next generation of fashion businesses, designers and entrepreneurs.

“A mentor is your champion, the person who’ll help you push through those challenges and doubts. I’m about working smarter, not harder, and I’d love to teach you to do the same.”

Most recently, I’ve focused on developing a much-needed online learning programme and community for fashion start-ups. It’s a vital asset for those planning, launching and growing a fashion brand, bringing big business knowledge to emerging enterprises.
I am committed to nurturing partnerships with key organisations such as the Australian Fashion Council, WGSN, International Sourcing Expo and participating in marquee industry events such as the Melbourne Fashion Festival.
What drives me each day? I know from experience how hard it is to start, run and grow a business, and I know how many times I just wanted to give up. A mentor is your champion, the person who’ll help you push through those challenges and doubts. I’m about working smarter, not harder, and I’d love to teach you to do the same. Let’s make the fashion business your business!

Testimonials

I found this mentorship so valuable. There is often a feeling of isolation when you work alone and it’s so important to have someone with the knowledge, background and understanding of the risk factors and decision making paths. I highly recommend mentorship for anyone looking to launch and grow a fashion business. It truly is a priceless investment.
